Manager, External Reporting and Technical Accounting

• BS/BA in Accounting from an accredited university in the United States
• CPA required
• 7-10 years of total finance and accounting experience including the application of GAAP principals and financial statement preparation.
• Public accounting with public company audit experience required (Big 4 preferred) and US public company corporate mix preferred

Technical Accounting
• Experience with generating financial statements and footnotes as art of the external reporting process (Form 10-K and 10-Q)
• Able to understand and comply with SEC/US GAAP reporting and disclosure requirements
• Significant exposure to technical accounting issues listed above
• Able to apply technical accounting concepts (thorough knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and interpretations)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, experience with developing technical white papers to support accounting considerations and conclusions

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in developing executive management presentations
• Proven track record of managing resources, developing departmental capabilities and restructuring work streams to increase or improve productivity
• Experience with developing and coaching staff to support career advancement.


External reporting
• Assist in managing the Company’s SEC reporting process
• Liase with external auditors review and audit requirements
• Assist in preparation of quarterly deliverables for the Disclosure and Audit Committees

Equity Accounting & Administration
• Determine and propose the appropriate measurement and recognition of all share-based awards
• Assist in the equity administration of the Company’s stock plans
• Supervise the timely filing of changes in beneficial ownership
• Supervise the preparation of the weighted shares outstanding calculations

Technical Research & Advisory Function
• Ensure timely documentation of key issues and relevance for review and decision making by management / Audit Committee/ other relevant parties
• Research technical accounting areas (business combinations, contingent consideration, complex debt and equity capital market transactions, impairment analysis (goodwill, intangibles, long-lived asset groups), foreign currency translation and re-measurement, segment reporting, revenue recognition, and interpretation / implementation of emerging accounting developments.
• Assist with the development of key technical accounting policies
• Prepare and present training sessions on accounting hot topics
• Draft documentation and review of complex accounting transactions/positions (i.e. prepare white papers).
