Federal – Financial Reporting Manager

This is a Full-time position in Arlington, VA posted May 16, 2017.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• CPA license
• 5 years of relevant accounting experience along with strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
• 3 years of experience in financial reporting including preparation or audit of financial statements and analytics for a large company (over $500M in annual revenues)
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• US Citizenship
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Exceptional communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a large government contractor preferred
• Deltek Costpoint experience preferred
• An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Financial Reporting Manager will become part of a high performing team, with opportunities to engage in a variety of finance and accounting tasks.

• Preparation of financial statements for Federal Services in Deltek Costpoint
• Consolidation of results into SAP
• Review and submission of all financial accounting deliverables provided to support the company’s externally filed financial statements
• Ensure compliance with company policies, US GAAP, and Federal cost compliance rules.
• Support internal and external audits
• Review of monthly contract revenue results to ensure appropriate revenue recognition
• Document and monitor internal controls
• Assist with special projects, as required
• Management responsibilities include reviewing work and setting priorities and goals, ensuring that the team is being developed; this includes providing regular feedback and annual reviews.
