Senior Accountant IV

Business Management Consultant

This is a Full-time position in RESTON, VA posted September 29, 2017.


• 7+ years of experience with a combination of public accounting and large corporation experience (revenue $700M+).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Government Contract Accounting experience required
• Deltek Costpoint 7 experience required
• CPA or other Accounting certification preferred
• MS Excel and Word proficiency


• Senior Accountant will be an integral part of the Corporate Accounting Department. Position performs a variety of complicated accounting tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Candidate must rely on judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals. Duties
• include, but are not limited to:
• Performing monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts including investigating reconciling items, analyzing activity, researching issues and discrepancies and entering adjusting journal entries.
• Liaison with HR Department to understand all benefit programs and ensure related transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP, FAR, and IFRS.
• Following accounting department policies, procedures and internal controls to comply with DCAA regulations.
• Liaison with other Finance departments and parent company on assigned areas of responsibility.
• Managing and completing month end cost allocations
• Prepares and analyzes balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
