Accounting Manager

This is a Full-time position in McLean, VA posted December 1, 2017.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• At least 8+ years of accounting experience with a strong emphasis in the government contracting industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or MBA a plus
• Experience managing and developing personnel
• Strong IT skills (Excel, accounting systems, etc.)
• Knowledge of GAAP, FAR, CAS, etc.
• Initiative and ability to manage multiple projects in an autonomous environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to complete projects timely and accurately.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the migration from outsourced accounting to in house accounting department and new accounting system
• Manage and hire accounting staff as appropriate
• Oversee all operations of the accounting department, to include G/L, Billing, A/P, A/R, Payroll, Cash Management, Taxes, Budgeting, Reporting, Policies & Procedures, etc.
• Produce timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial reports, to include consolidated financials, executive summaries, budget vs. actual variances, project level reporting, etc.
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting functions
• Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations (FAR, DCAA, IRS, etc.)
• Prepare for and oversee external audits (Financial Statements, DCAA, etc.)
• Provide excellent customer service and support to all internal and external constituents.
