Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A

Global Research, Evaluation and Program Implementation Leader

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills
• Knowledge of government contracting environment
• Familiarity with financial reporting software (Oracle, Cognos), Access
• High standards of accuracy; highly organized
• Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
• Ability to build and manage financial models for forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving then quickly analyze it, know its merits, and prepare it for management discussion.
• BA/BS with 5- 7 years of related experience or the equivalent of education and experience. Master Degree preferred.


Our client seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis group within the CFO organization of the company. This seasoned professional needs to be extremely collaborative and diligent about creating complex analysis from scratch. His/her opinion will be highly valued in the Finance Department and the role is extremely visible in the Company. The successful candidate should be highly analytical and detail oriented with a solid business acumen able to drive results and improve processes.

• Assist in managing the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, month-end reporting and long-range planning activities
• Prepare various ad hoc financial analysis and reporting – present recommendations for senior management to use in making managerial decisions.
• Responsible for developing financial models of major proposed transactions and their long-term effect on the company’s financial posture. Executive summaries of these efforts are presented at BOD meetings
• Design new and/or enhance existing reports
• Build templates/dashboards to assist in financial forecasting and analysis
• Monitor and enhance existing processes and controls
• Have the ability to tackle multiple projects efficiently and effectively meet deadlines
• Coach and train area personnel on the importance of budgeting via Powerpoint presentations and/or individual meetings.
